She jumped at the chance to be an EFL contributing poet for Phoenix English Magazine (Yeehoo Press) and has 20+ leveled poems in their EFL magazines.
Bridget gets jumpy with excitement when one of her poems, personal essays or stories gets published in an anthology, magazine or an online publication. (It happens a lot!)
Jumping back in time, Bridget completed her MFA in Writing for Children and Young Adults from Hamline University in 2008.
Bridget jumps for joy because she is now privileged to teach English to young learners (4-6 year olds), many of whom English is their 3rd or 4th language.
Utilizing her extensive 25+ year experience as an elementary educator and former school librarian, Bridget has been know to dance a jazzy jig to communicate a concept.
And reading aloud

And reading aloud poetry and picture books is still a vital component in her classroom.
When not writing or teaching, Bridget hops, skips and jumps at the chance to publish Poetry Anthologies, Board Books, Picture Books, and EFL Resource Books with her publishing company,
wee words for wee ones.
It is important to Bridget to give fellow writers an opportunity to jump off the page (or screen) so she is committed to publishing poetry anthologies.
In 2017, Bridget jumped on an opportunity to live in central Switzerland where she is continually finding her voice, both in English and rudimentary German. She lives with her husband, Joe and jumpy dog, Smidgey. Her two young adult daughters are nimbly getting a jump on their own lives in the US.
Bridget finds that nothing is better

Bridget finds that nothing is better for jump-starting her spirit than setting the intention to put light and love into the world.
